It is the truth, well mostly its true and anyone that knows me, even remotely, will have at some point heard me say "I hate my cat!", or "would you like my cat?". Sorry to all you cat lovers, "Karens" and do gooders, but this is the truth, and quite frankly, I am not sorry.
Meet Autumn, almost 15 year old male, standard "run of the mill" tuxedo that we (I fully admit I was totally smitten with the kittens) rescued, along with his sister Beans, when they were approximately 5 weeks old.
I had cats growing up, and into my early adult years. I once had a cat named "Snuggles", also a rescue. She was a long haired beauty with big blue eyes that scared the life out of me on most days. But I didn't actually "hate" that cat.
Most all of the cats that came before Autumn and Beans were pleasant, lovely pets and I definitely considered myself a cat lover. Hence why there was no hesitation what so ever, that beautiful autumn (you get it now) day, over a Thanksgiving weekend, when two abandoned kittens (soooo cute, I will look for a picture to post) were found in a box that had contained cans of beans!, and left on the side of a bicycle trail, only to be found and rescued by a wonderful family of 4. Suckers!

Can you tell the difference already?? So this blog is a bit of therapy for me on trying to overcome my negative feelings towards Autumn and sometimes (and more frequently) cats in general. It is also spurring my need for a creative outlet and the desire to write, write something, write anything! I have reached the age of 61 and just like all the podcasts and self help shit tells me, "its never too late", so just "follow your passion" and who cares what anyone else thinks. And, as often quoted and sang by millions of preteens all over the world "... the haters going to hate, hate, hate and I'm just going to shake, skake " you know the rest. Apologizes that you now have T Swift in your head for the remainder of the day, day, day...
So please bear with me as it may take time to get my writing legs in shape but away we go.
Until I write again, Cheers
